    1. Guest Conduct & Use of Rooms

    To preserve the quiet character of our heritage property:

    • Gatherings, parties, and excessive noise are not permitted in guest rooms or common areas.
    • Only registered guests may occupy rooms. The Hotel reserves the right to remove additional or unregistered occupants.
    • Behaviour that compromises the comfort, safety, dignity, or enjoyment of other guests or staff may result in immediate removal from the property without refund.
    • Guests must comply with all reasonable directions from Hotel staff.

    2. Reservations & Cancellation Policy

    • Reservations are non-transferable.
    • Standard bookings may be cancelled without charge up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled check-in time. Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival will incur a charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation.
    • No-shows will incur a charge of one night’s accommodation (inclusive of applicable taxes) or as specified in the booked rate.
    • Certain promotional or advance purchase rates may be non-refundable. Where conflicting terms arise, the specific rate conditions apply.
    • Group bookings may be subject to separate cancellation terms advised at the time of booking.

    3. Rates, Payment & Pre-Authorisation

    • A valid credit or debit card is required to secure all reservations.
    • The Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise a payment method prior to arrival.
    • Full payment may be required at check-in unless otherwise specified in the booking terms.
    • By providing a payment method, guests authorise the Hotel to charge for outstanding balances, damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, late departure fees, or other costs incurred during the stay.
    • If a payment method declines, the reservation may be cancelled at the Hotel’s discretion.

    4. Identification Requirements

    • Valid, original photo identification must be presented at check-in.
    • The name on the identification must match the name on the booking and payment method.
    • The Hotel reserves the right to refuse check-in where appropriate identification is not provided.

    5. Safety, Security & Heritage Care

    As custodians of a heritage-listed landmark, we ask all guests to treat the building and its historical features with care.

    • Any damage to Hotel property — whether intentional or accidental — may incur repair or replacement costs.
    • Guests must comply with all emergency and safety procedures.
    • Conduct that compromises the safety, health, security, or preservation of the property will not be permitted.
    • CCTV may operate in public areas for the safety and security of guests and staff.

    6. Smoking Policy

    In accordance with Queensland health regulations:

    • Smoking, vaping, and the use of e-cigarettes are strictly prohibited inside guest rooms and internal areas of the Hotel.
    • Evidence of smoking may result in a cleaning and deodorising fee and any associated damages.

    7. Hygiene & Housekeeping

    • Guests are expected to maintain reasonable cleanliness within their rooms.
    • Excessive cleaning requirements may incur additional charges.
    • For the wellbeing of all guests, please follow any hygiene or safety guidance provided by staff.

    8. Allergies & Sensitivities

    If you have allergies or sensitivities to fabrics, materials, cleaning products, or food items, please notify the Hotel prior to arrival. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.

    9. Valuables & Lost Property

    • A room safe is provided for guest use where available.
    • The Hotel may agree to store valuables at its discretion and may apply a storage fee.
    • Exceptionally valuable items must be declared; the Hotel may decline storage.
    • To the extent permitted by law, the Hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by the Hotel’s negligence.
    • Lost property will be held securely for 30 days following departure. Unclaimed items may be donated or disposed of at the Hotel’s discretion.
    • Perishable items are retained only until close of business on the day of departure.
    • Items may be collected with valid identification or returned at the guest’s expense.

    10. Accessibility & Heritage Considerations

    As a heritage property, certain structural limitations may affect accessibility, including stair access and original architectural features. Guests with mobility or accessibility requirements are encouraged to contact the Hotel prior to booking so we may provide accurate information and assistance where possible.

    11. Liability

    • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.
    • To the extent permitted by law, the Hotel is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, financial loss, travel delays, or inconvenience arising from events beyond its reasonable control.
    • The Hotel’s liability for any claim relating to accommodation services is limited to the resupply of the services or the reasonable cost of resupply, where permitted by law.

    12. Check-In & Check-Out

    Check-In

    • Check-in is available from 2:00pm.
    • Early check-in may be offered subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
    • Valid photo identification and a matching payment method are required at check-in.

    Check-Out

    • Check-out is required by 11:00am.
    • Late check-out may be available upon request and may incur an additional fee.
    • Failure to vacate by the agreed time may result in charges equivalent to an additional night’s stay.

    Arrival & Departure

    • Luggage storage may be available subject to space limitations.
    • All outstanding balances and incidental charges must be settled prior to departure.

    13. Privacy Policy

    The National Hotel, Warwick is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

    Collection of Personal Information

    We may collect personal information including:

    • Name, address, phone number and email
    • Identification details
    • Payment and billing information
    • Booking and stay history
    • Communications with our team
    • CCTV footage in public areas

    This information is collected to:

    • Process reservations and payments
    • Verify identity
    • Provide accommodation services
    • Ensure guest safety and security
    • Meet legal and regulatory obligations

    The Hotel may amend these Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy from time to time. The version published on our website at the time of booking applies to the reservation.

    15. Governing Law

    These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising in connection with a stay shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
